Description
Deciduous spiny shrub requiring sun or semi-shade and any BUT water-logged soil. It has reddish-purple leaves marbled pink and white. Excellent as a hedge border or natural fence barrier because of its thorns. May be pruned or sheared to desired shape or size. Color is most intense in full sun locations – will fade greatly in shadier spots to a virtually solid green color with red / pink accents. Quickly becoming extremely popular in landscapes all across the country especially in the south and southeast. Very hardy with relatively low maintenance.
